Sharing Our Memories:
Jamestown S'Klallam Elders

Honoring Elders for their Lives and their Wisdom.

Courses and causes of events have shaped the lives of Elders living on and off reservations. The Elders in these interviews lived in local communities from Clallam County to East Jefferson County and have lived very different lives than those on reservations. This is a collection of memories from some of the Jamestown S’Klallam Elders. We thank them and their families for sharing so generously with us.

In 2001, with funding from the National Park Service Historic Preservation program, the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe conducted interviews with Tribal Elders and transformed these oral histories into the book “Sharing Our Memories:
Jamestown S’Klallam Elders.”
